The Episcopal Church is both Catholic and Protestant. We are Catholic in that we celebrate the sacramental life and ascribe to the creeds of the ancient Church. We are Protestant in that we believe in ongoing reform based on a reasonable interpretation and appreciation of the Holy Scripture.
The Episcopal Church is a sacramental church. Our worship centers on two principal sacraments: Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist.
The Episcopal Church is a liturgical church, meaning we follow a set form of worship. Our worship is outlined in the Book of Common Prayer. Episcopalians are part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. All around the world Anglicans use a version of the Book of Common Prayer in their native language. At Nativity, this book is the red book in your pew back. The blue book in the racks is the 1982 Hymnal.

 Welcome! We are excited that you are thinking about visiting The Episcopal Church of the Nativity. We welcome you to worship with us any Sunday morning, or at any scheduled service. In addition the church is open during the week for prayer, rest, and meditation. Come whenever you feel the need for spiritual refreshment.
 When you visit our church, please make yourself known to the ushers or clergy before or after the service if you care to do so. If we can be of any special assistance you, let us know that also. We want you to feel at home in our church, but we do not want to intrude if you want to worship quietly and go away without giving your name.
